There is no point working in sales here at the moment . Unnecessary trainings meetings and demodifer make it close to impossible to hit your number. Not to mention 30% increase in your number when the company is not doing well. They just want to find way to get rid of people ..dells out of money for packages so now it's performance based termination...bring it on my laters ready with all details on how you have sc--wed many people . About time a class action lawsuit is done to get back to leaders who keep filling their pockets.

@eq truth. And coaching/PIP is enforced on the manager by VP/SVP no matter what, a % of team members HAVE to be on coaching or PIP. Manager have no options.

Not in sales but my best friend is - and was at dell for 6 years - and he said the same things. Before he was laid off he was bi--hing about how they are making the numbers harder to attain to which, affected commision/bonus's.
He was "happy" to have been let go a few years ago and found another sales job at another large company but, he's wanting to go back to dell bc they pay better. I told him Sales is regularly getting sla-ghtered in layoffs and that, he's very likely better off where he is.
Unfortunately pips will be used to manage people out. Not fulfilling the pip = termination no package.
Same. The cherry on top will probably be that if you manage to stay around for long enough you wont even get the package. What a joke.
