Go ahead and sign so they know who the disgruntled people are and can put the sc--ws on you harder. The goal has not changed and the goal is still to get rid of as many people as possible without having to pay ANY severance. Even if you sign you can be terminated before a layoff is approved. If you have been keeping up on the layoffs/mass firing of federal government workers then you are up to date on what's about to go down.

You do realize 38% of our staff is already at retirement age and they only want to reduce staff levels by 20%
More people will opt for this lottery ticket which will actually create more opportunities for others to move to different departments with pay grade promotions from 5’s to 6’s and 6’s to 7’s

For those doubting the offer, SF has done this many times in the past to thin the herd. This is nothing new. Those who get an offer will, in fact, get the deal. It's happened before and it will happen again. This is SOP, and those who have been here for more than a few years have seen it and know it is legit. There is so much paranoia and bitterness on this site. If you don’t like it at SF, you’re free to leave. No one is forcing you to stay. I’m not saying it’s all sunshine and lollipops, but I have worked at some pretty cr-ppy places, and this isn’t one of them.
False.
I doubt anyone will ever get that offer. Believe it when I see it. It's another fluff benefit that you will never get.
Unload the top heavy VP ranks especially remote ones. Getting too expensive for watching TV and jumping on a couple of Huddle calls. Big saving there!
This is what I was just thinking last night. Especially since they made sure to put in the notice that you will not get paid if you do not stay until the assigned end date. With the way things happen around SF...I wouldn't be surprised if it gets used as a hit list lol.
