Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Does Oracle pay for your unused vacations

Oracle has unlimited vacation policy on manager discretion. But I noticed managers ensure employee doesn’t take vacations often beyond 2-3 weeks per year. So what happens to those unused vacations on your layoff? Is it wise to take vacations before expected announcements?

IC4 and above, salary...no payout on vacation balance because it's unlimited (it's a scam because they don't have to keep it on the book).

I was hit with the layoffs end of the May 2025, and Oracle did pay out my vacation balance. I was maxed out at 184 hours and that’s what they converted to money. So yes, you will get paid for your vacation however, I did not have unlimited vacation in my department.
