GD should be fired and replaced

Wills of capital

BlackRock/Vanguard are top 2 institutional holders of Qcom stock. No surprisingly they are 2nd and 3rd largest holders of BRCM. BRCM's acquisition of Qcom is the will of capital and unstoppable from naysayers such as Cfius. Redomiciling to US is... — read more

Logical Thinking is better than conjecture

CA said there would be lay offs. First the temps/contractors will go, followed by the re-orgs we are seeing now. Some jobs will be transitioned to QIPL, especially if there are redundancies. This will condense the workforce, and provide a certain... — read more

Layoffs begin 3rd week of May

Not BS. Confirmed news. Heard from a VP in SD today. And yes, it would be mostly principal and above. Looks like they’ll be nice enough to allow the RSU vesting then.

Layoff is starting from top to bottom

The rumor that Principal and above will be affected most seems to be true, as we are seeing layoff starting from the top in the last few days.

Hold my beer while I refill my popcorn

Intel is considering strapping a saddle to Qualcomm's backside and riding them around along with Broadcom. Let's see who lasts longer - Qualcomm won't be to go crying to CFIUS over Intel buying us out. QC is done for one way or the other. Thanks... — read more

Paul’s gone as Chairman

I guess that’s it. They put an MBA in place and priority is clear: maximize shareholder value. No longer foster innovation, help the San Diego community, ensure employee satisfaction, show corporate social responsibility, etc.

When is it enough?

Qualcomm should not under any circumstances be sold to Broadcom. How many of our own companies were sold to foreigners for simple greed? How many of our IP/ITs can we afford to lose before we are rendered completely irrelevant? Not to mention that in... — read more
