Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

I knew it!

I knew that once national security issues emerged that this attempt at a takeover was as good as done.

Apparently there is still some common sense left among those running this country. I have to say, this is the best news I've heard in a long while.

Good riddance, Broadcom.

Let say CFIUS recommends against the Broadcom deal, however, on April 5th chances are that we will have a new BoD which warms to other future sale of QCOM and a better return of shareholder value. In the meantime, we try to appease Wall Street by replacing SM with SJ and bumping our dividend by 9%, thus further depleting our war chest. Either way, QCOM is moving to a less R&D, and more slave-driving model. Is that how you would read it?

Looks like op is rest and vest kind of person like me

The Qualcomm gravy train has been good to me for years and I don't want bcom to disturb it.

Let's milk as long as we can

CFIUS is going to defer to the Pres and he will approve the takeover.

We don’t need external factors to destroy Q. We were imploding from within just fine!
