Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Sr Mgmt - Verizon Can Lay off 1/2 of All Of Them

They talk big and contribute nothing.
Dressed sharp, empty inside, opportunistic and self centered.
I'd bet big money that nobody would notice if we were to cut that layer in half.

Sharp dressed?
Most of them dress like b-ms in hoodies and t-shirts.

A trip down to Brooks Brothers is in order.

At least look the part if you can't perform it.

@hz The bulk of them should have been canned a year into the 5G rollout disaster.

The longer I work here the more I understand The Office and Office Space. ADs are Season 1 Michael Scott tho, the most unlikeable version of him.

I'm actually ok with AI being my boss and bosses boss. At least I know it'll be logically and will actually have good information and reply in reasonable time line

ADs are most useless cases in Verizon. They are basically a mid manager who has neither technical nor management skill to run a team. In Florida , the gutless RF manager is running favoritism with his team and not sure how the SD even allows that.. absolute pathetic.

Management only cares about squeezing every ounce of blood, sweat & tears from you while laying off your coworkers even if the group is already short on staff to save money and get themselves bigger bonuses.

@OP That is where layoffs need to happen. The company management has failed, so why keep them? and Why pay them for acheiving failure?

@OP Productivity and profitability would actually improve if they targeted the right ones. That’s a big if because there is a tremendous lack of transparency and clarity in the (dis)organization. I suspect they’ll continue to muddle through while patting themselves on the back over their “achievements”.

Those parasites get big bonuses off the blood, sweat & tears of the workers.

We can lay off 1/2 or 1/3 of AD, SD who didn't keep with promotion. The lost a cause and they don't do a thing a whole day..It won't impact a thing in business

I got laid off 2 years ago after 35 years senior marketing manager. I really did break my a-s. I saw people around me doing nothing for years but they kissed a-s like you wouldn't believe. I also know of quite a few directors who make 200k a year salary plus bonus who've done di-k for 10 years. Spot on about redundancy for sure

Oh, more than 1/2! There is so much redundancy, overlap it’s crazy between VBG/VCG as well. Also GN&T with two chief network officers for example it’s insane

@OP If they cut the most toxic ones, things would improve and people would notice.

Agree... AI can do their powerpoints vs having Directors benefit from the actual Team members getting the job done.
