Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Any truth to this?

I heard a rumor from a reliable source that we are ending 5-Day RTO by the end of 2025. We will have 2 office days and 3 virtual/remote days. It will not publicly announced thru some announcements but it will slowly shared among the organizations from VP/AVP levels. Expect some changes near the end of 2025.

I heard the same rumor from a few folks in different organizations. I am not sure how reliable though, but they all said the same thing. They don't know each other though.

I am hoping this rumor is true so we can end this 5 Day RTO bullsh1t.

“If you want to be treated like a human being, you have to go elsewhere.”

If you want to be treated like an adult, meet basic job requirements. Fixed it for you.

If you aren't productive in the office, you weren't productive working from home. It's not a question of being more productive from home or office. It also doesn't matter that you think you run circles around your coworkers. You were freeloading and got called on it. You're still a freeloader, but now they are making you pay for it. It is what it is. No one cares that you are bent out of shape over it.

If your leaders haven’t already relaxed policy to adapt to you and your teams personal needs you work for a sh---y org. It’s been clear from our leaders that using good judgment in getting work done while having a personal life is ok.

Maybe your orgs are the problem?

@OP None. If anything they are doubling down and starting to terminate people for lack of compliance. If you want to be treated like a human being, you have to go elsewhere.

This is a recipe for much needed change to the RTO policy
