This thread is titled for Corporate layoffs so why are there so many store ppl commenting and questioning. Reading is fundamental, people. What is going on with corporate positions in HSQ? Really just want to know what’s going on with corporate realignment
@gd I would assume everything the MBA does plus the majority of the OOM job
But until they announce it for real and my Store Manager sits me down to talk about it I hold it with a grain of salt
I’m sure down the road, the VM’s will be next. Another 70k on the books times 450 stores.
The MBA’s sit around too much. It’s much easier to wipe a 70k salary times 450 stores, a $50mil+ savings. You can thank McKinsey for that.
Same, my store has an SMM and MBA. What happens im this situation?
Hmm 🤔 when will we be told about this , my store manager has mentioned nothing about this and I am the MBA and we have no OOM

look at the bright side... macys wont improve if you are let go.. its gonna keep sinking.. year after year more layoffs.. driving hardworking and hardly working people out is the Macys way.. find a company who appreciates your hard work or start your own
The obsession with the construction in Herald Square makes this all the worse. Money that could be spent on peoples salaries. Instead they rather us running on skeleton crews. It'll be worse once we get to four days in office, that will be the second layoff when people quit.
@bv with corporate realignment, just wondering was the executive structure will look like in store. Wondering if there will be any in store role changes, exec position eliminations, etc. As an a member of leadership I know my role could be absorbed by another manager, or the other way around. Just wondering if anyone has any potential ideas as to what may or may not happen.
