Thread regarding Omnissa layoffs

More management "departures" to be expected in the new year...

There is a "rumor" that more of the upper management will be "departing" in the new year around February time frame. Cant say much else without compromising the source of the information but what I can say is that things are much worse then what is being shown. KKR has been aware of this and will now be more "involved" in the nearing future. Personally, I think the next 6-12 months will be turbulent but necessary but feel like many people are going to be effected.

Well, are they finally letting go of some dinosaurs in Product enablement? I’m curious to know what Jim Yanik is up to, he doesn’t do anything.

"What was our GAAP revenue are year ago vs today?"

Finance won't post actual balance sheet info here. KKR has the facts. That's what matters. Our financial challenges are ongoing, compounded by the business reality that all our salespeople know very well from their customer meetings. Any doubters are delusional.

Genuine question here — are some of the comments coming from Finance?

Is the current profitability being driven primarily by cost cutting rather than actual revenue growth?

From the field, revenue momentum doesn’t feel strong, while headcount reductions and spend controls are very visible. I’m curious how this is being interpreted internally.

On the front line, churn appears to be increasing. Customers are delaying renewals, downsizing, or outright leaving. Is this showing up in Finance metrics yet, or is there still a lag?

Also, the frequency and impact of outages lately is nowhere near what it was during the VMware days. In direct customer conversations, disappointment and frustration are very real and very common.

Are these signals being heard internally, or is there still a disconnect between customer reality and what leadership dashboards show?

“What was our GAAP revenue are year ago vs today?”

Regular Individual Contributors won’t know “GAAP revenue” for this company to be able to answer your question. Why not? Because a PE-owned company doesn’t have to report GAAP revenue like publicly traded companies with shareholders do when they release financial results (like VMware did and Broadcom does).

Lack of transparency of the financials is precisely why we look at signals like the reduction in 401(k) contributions to draw our own conclusions about the company’s financial health.

@k5 to list firing tenured resources who have been successful and established relationships as a positive sign of the business being healthy is hilarious. It is legitimately one of the d-mbest rebuttals I’ve ever heard in a business context.

That's not what I said. I said that cost reductions had a positive impact on profitability, but you keep dodging around my calling you out on your comment about declining profitability. If you believe to be right, why don't you specifically call out the numbers? You can't. Because you don't know and just make stuff up to make yourself feel better.

@fv could you be more out of touch? Our GTM strategy doesn’t resonate with customers, they don’t evolve past MDM and they are replacing us with intune at alarming rates. We are losing more customers that we are signing up. Customers do t trust us, and the way we’ve ruined relationships built over the last 10 years has instilled distrust.D-mb@ss comment that only demonstrates your profound ignorance.

Sigh. Again: be specific! Profitability is actually up and exceeding expectations. Hint: cost cutting actually works.

Revenue decline? Be specific. What was our GAAP revenue are year ago vs today? You don't know and you are spewing your bullsh-t out of your own inadequacy and frustration.

I wounder what BS lies we are going to hear today on the call... about how great we are doing and how our customers love us and how successful we are.

Its clear to see how they use these to try to keep everyone calm or distracted from the reality.

Whatever they do next is too little too late to stop our revenue and profitability decline.

You don't know anything. Please be specific. How much revenue decline over what period of time? How much profitability decline over what period of time?

KKR's light-touch approach to its acquisitions has sealed the fate of Omnissa. Whatever they do next is too little too late to stop our revenue and profitability decline.
