Getting rid of unneeded workers. Right sizing the workforce.
As previously stated, the things good companies are doing is not at all relevant to AT&T. Stankey will just laugh and point out that Verizon can't age discriminate if they do their headcount reductions this way.

Thank you for posting this! It helps to see what’s happening with other telcos. I remember many T employees bragged about applying over at Verizon when RTO was announced 4 years ago.
