Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Can VZ start a Loyalty Program for employees?

As in, don't fire the people who are doing their jobs well. VZ has record profits, but it makes bad decisions at the top creating lots of debt.

The cellular network is in the first stages of performing like our internal tools. Too many critical tasks related to performance (like initial design) have been delegated to contractors (and oversight is too little due to the workload (and morale)). Just like our tools su-k, the network is heading in that direction.

@2a - Ask a few folks in GNT who had great colleagues in highly needed roles, and yet were fired in order to pump the stock price. The network is paying the price. Cutting didn't work to raise the stock price to where the clowns want it, so the clowns will keep cutting.
