The whole Bari fixation is giving her more attention that she deserves. No one watches the news on tv anymore, and CBS is actually the last place network on a dying platform. She doesn't matter and neither does CBS -- except to baby boomers and to news media insiders, who keep the Bari story alive and to some extent are jealous about how much money DE paid for her business. The CBS audience demo is old and of no interest to advertisers, and the news org's way of doing business is old. I wonder how GC gets away with being in charge of the network for so many years now and not doing a single thing to mandate change at the news business. It's like he was only a figure head when it came to the news part of CBS, or he's just an incompetent who succeeded upward.
@a6 it'll be difficult for her to make CBS News worse than it was. If she brings back objectivity and real journalism, there is hope.
@bf they absolutely aren't. cbs news ratings are down almost 25% from last year and are way behind abc and nbc, by almost 2 to 1 in the case of abc. embarrassing performance, and embarrassing post.
@e0 maybe so, but it makes me SICK and embarrassed to work in an apparatus of the Fourth Reich. She won't even cover the children in concentration camps in this country, it's cowardly, and I hope they all fail.
@a6 As long as his Uncle Donald is happy with Bari, he doesn't care how much of his father's money he loses, or how much of his own company's reputation he destroys.
