Thread regarding Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. layoffs

Are cuts going to continue?

Some say it's all done, but I have my doubts.

They just laid off a ton of HR folks outside of the US in April

It's NEVER all done. The shareholders and their precious EPS, as well as the c-suite's paychecks, demand it.

I guess the answer is yes based on what happened yesterday. Layoffs in multiple groups within LSG, I have no idea how many people but didn’t see a WARN notice in CA even though people in Carlsbad were let go.

"Are cuts going to continue?" Yes. Always. You don't hear about much of it because most of the time they're small numbers here and there. There are "larger" regularly scheduled rounds usually in relation to quarterly reporting. But even those they try to keep to a minimum to avoid WARN and public scrutiny.

Definitely not done, volumes are down and our division hasn’t had a layoff since end of year. There are rumblings and everyone’s certain something is coming soon, we just don’t know when. I just hope they at least pay out bonuses before letting more people go.
