Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

Will this ever stop??

I know several people who were riffed in June, and there are still rumors of larger global RIFs coming in July and August.

For those who make it through these rounds, whats the outlook for the rest of 2026? Do these cycles eventually come to an end, or is this just the new normal?

At this point, I’d rather be included in a RIF now while severance packages are still relatively generous.

@dj Depending on your state, if you receive any calls from work, you must have a work phone or if you are remote. Check you state laws.

@df Across all of banking, unless your number is published as part of an on-call support rotation, you had to turn your phone back in.

I haven't checked LinkedIn Learning yet, but I haven't heard anything about mobile phones in Capital Markets. Who can confirm countries or BUs this is happening?

@OP It won't stop and even if you won't be laid off in the next 10 years the constant thinking about it is exhausting. My course of action is putting money away into a security fund to have a comfortable amount in case I get laid off, then look for a new job. Doing just enough to be a good worker and upskilling for the next job.

@az they stopped access to LinkedIn Learning? Asked for cell phones to be returned? Are the fillings in employees' teeth paid for by dental coverage to be returned too? Or will they just get them in a headlock and pry them out?

They are taking our cellphones away and just stopped LinkedIn learning. They are literally trying to save the pennies, so we all know what's coming.

@OP At this point nothing to suggest it won't keep happening. Co-workers have pretty much accepted that they will be let go at some point and only question is when. Not a fun environment
