Firstnet cuts coming

Product not producing anything pu--c safely wants . PDEs failing. Gov oversight not happy. Numbers continue decline. Subs are Verizon and TMO rejects. 15% will get notices week before Thanksgiving. WFH employees are top of cut list. Freloads will get there comeuppance. Curmudgeon managers safe. Not sure why or how there. One of you must no more. Spill the tea. Hold the sugar. Hope fiber and 5g fair better.

@gn How about the very large national tree trimming service? Yeah, for all of the tornados and such, they need 24x7 access to the FN services? The whole extended primary is a joke but was required to help pump up the numbers to meet contractual obligations. So many public agencies have turned down FN for almost 7 years now, makes you wonder why they continue to reject the sales pitch. To the other poster, we'll never get to interoperability between agencies, let alone between wireless and radio devices.

DOGE needs to do an audit of the subscriber base. I have people coming in who are in marketing at a local hospital that are on FirstNet. Why do they need priority? None of the local agencies have any idea what local control is much less how to use it. I've had people who are floor cleaners on FirstNet. (No they're not volunteer first responders)

@ft

Lmao! Sending DOJ after enemies.

Did you say that with a straight face?

Damn straight he’s going after them. Why do you think we sent Trump back?

To get his revenge dummy

"It’s just a matter of time before Trump drops the hammer. They’re just lucky he’s busy with China right now."

He'll make public tough guy statements followed by quietly chickening out.

He's not busy with China, he's busy sending the DOJ after his personal enemies, making false statements about riots in cities, blowing up fishing boats, and deflecting from "The Files".

@c9
That's the irony of the whole platform. It was built for interoperability, which is still a pipedream and if a crisis emerges, there is little to no interoperability between VZ, T-Mo and FirstNet. There are about 4 Push to Talk services being marketed to FirstNet, some are mission critical, some aren't. The ones that meet the FN standards are costly, so most public agencies opt for the lower grade/lower cost ones and/or open market free ones.
For T, it was always about getting free spectrum and closing the coverage gap with TMo and VZ. With satellite on its way, 5G slicing, the whole point of having dedicated spectrum is rather moot. Regardless of what T marketer's will spin. DOGE should have cut it.

The current government is not interested in safety for the public, only permanent tax cuts for billionaires.

The company is ripping off the FirstNet Authority. Laying off FIrstNet resources and sooooo many customers have no idea what FirstsNet is.
TMo Priority and Vz FrontLine are taking over and truely supporting our first responder

Cuts to products that serve first line responders.

What a great idea!

I’m sure Trump will be very happy when FirstNet has a regional outage as a result of this.

One thing I can confirm. The FirstNet Authority is not happy with ATT because our service su-ks because they cut resources even though the government paid for them up front.

In other words, we’re ripping off the government. Add this to our H1B and offshoring infractions and there is no question. It’s just a matter of time before Trump drops the hammer. They’re just lucky he’s busy with China right now.

Well, of course they aren't. AT&T wants revenue growth, Gov Oversight wants value driven product enhancements. There are misaligned missions. It doesn't help that FirstNet is a money train, so everyone has been charging everything and anything to their projects to close expense budget gaps and moving work to capital or DevCASH. Makes it really expensive.
