@qh Thank you for not talking about your BM this time.
@q6 definitely true
@ns what are you talking about? I know several people who were let go on Friday.
@qd I too work in Model e - I've heard we're looking to hire, the plethora of new high demand products we are bringing to market to save the company are in the pipeline, launching them with the highest quality talent is the highest priority we have as a company.
Not possible having layoffs in Model e. I proudly work in Model e and have heard nothing of the sort. To remind people from the last Global Town Hall, no layoffs were discussed or announced and especially none mentioned for Model e.
Lots of layoffs across marketing / comms in Pro, E and IS… not sure why people are saying it’s BS
As I posted several months ago, an LL4 told me no major layoffs were coming this year. I got a lot of thumbs downs, but it is obvious it was true as the year winds down. Some of you don't want the truth.
It came....
@gv no need to layoff when ppl just quit with no advance warning or leave for better opportunities. CE1 won’t launch the first product till mid 2027. The EV market is deflating in Ford’s biggest markets and repeat truck buyers want ICE not EV. Visit any Texas Ford dealer.
ScunkCr.pers VS cancelled FNF4 by Dog Sh.t
What is different ? Are they planning to compete with Chinese EVs under 14k $
Skunk mentioned Most important work... For who ? Where is the customers? And why scunks and not better and cheaper vehicles?
Confirmed by the janitor in my building.
Confidently can say there isn't any forthcoming layoffs in Model e or Skunkworks. We have the most important projects to deliver in the coming years and sound business practice calls for growth in these areas rather than reductions.
@gp Where did he work?
Any idea how many were fired?
@ck there were definitely layoffs!
@ca not true. My husband was laid off. Why say everything will be fine when you don’t know what’s happening.
@ca oh there were definitely marketing layoffs!!!
Systems haven’t been sent yet and even the larger marketing team not updated. Townhall tomorrow. And official announcements should come later.
Title is Ford Layoffs so somebody has to post that there's a layoff whether it comes tomorrow, next week or next year. and then OP says "I told you so".
Tuesday is Veterans Day, geniuses. Company holiday.
What was the marketing re org? I haven’t noticed anything in reporting structures
@ds:
My layoff was on a Monday. Meeting notice sent Sun night.
There was a massive marketing reorg across ford (blue/e/pro/IS) that included layoffs on Friday.
Tuesday next week. November 18
I'm Free! I'm Free! I'm Free!
Coporate lay offs are on Tuesday. Standard.
Poor OP. Feel sorry for him to keep posting BS in this forum instead of looking for a job and move on with life.
@d5 I did not receive it. Not company wide then.
@ck why would I lie? Here it is verbatim:
Team,
We are making changes within the organization to improve operational effectiveness.
All team members in the US will work from home tomorrow, Friday, November 7 and Monday, November 10.
I appreciate your support and we will share more information with you as soon as possible.
Thank you, Lisa.
What was the email from Lisa M? I’ve heard rumors of org changes
@a8 where were you? i was connected vehicle, cut a year ago, then my position was just posted under a different ll5
@ca Code word = Verstappen
No email, no need to speculate a layoff, just read the news and spot the potential warning signs. Anyone that actually is a Ford employee can sense the tone.
There are no layoffs. Jim Farley said everything will be just fine.
Yes many (most honestly) will be better in the long run for it. It is best to be in the process of making that choice for yourself once they come to their decision.
@a6
I’m sorry. I heard from several in your department that only about 5-6 remain out of over 50 people. I was let go in August, so I feel your pain. Ford has become completely toxic, so hopefully you’ll be better off in the long run.
Specific date notwithstanding, this is in general correct. If you are in one of these functional areas, you'd do well to tend to your career overall and have a plan. There's no one steering the ship.
AI answer "The company is preparing to cut approximately 2,000 to 3,000 jobs by early November 2025. This move is part of Ford's broader effort to achieve $2 billion in annual cost savings. The layoffs are also linked to weakening demand for Ford's F-150 electric truck and supply chain issues, such as bottlenecks in aluminum supplies."
@aj Anyone that actually works for Ford knows Tuesday is a company holiday.
@ag Yep, I heard it's Tuesday as well - that's why I took the day off, use your head!
One of these days, one of these wild guess will be right.
