@me the person I know had only been here a couple of years so significantly better for him
RIF impacted UK Netsuite last week, ICs and M level.
@g9 is the latter better or worse than 1 week per year, do you know?
@ch should be your notice period plus one week for every full year you have been employed. But I'm told that Oracle in UK is giving 60-days and a "sweetener" payment (not sure how much)
@c5 They are in the company, is clear. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Company_union
@d4 How many ? Weird not having news about France …
Scandinavia was hit, at least Denmark and Finland
@cs sales
@cr what LOB/role?
3 colleagues impacted in UK , 2 Ms 1 IC
Anyone knows how many employees afeccted by the RIF in UK ? If nearly 10 %, we might be speaking of nearly 500… that added to RU (400) , Germany (250), Chezchia ( 250) , Ireland (121) and Italy (81) would make a total of 1.600 …still 200 from other countries ( France, Netherlands, Poland,etc ) to make it to the 1800 as per WoC com today ..
What is the redundancy policy in the UK? 2 weeks per year?
Honestly, I try to understand why the WoC inform so late (more than 2 months after thy got the announcement)...
In this while people are becoming mad, with so many ruomours. Seems like they are in the company side instead workers' one.
@br Thank you. So they basically had to say something, to justify their existence. And in doing so, created more chaos. Great job!
@bv exactly , European WoC is late , 400 in Rumanía , 250 in Chezch R , 250 in Germany , 161 in Spain, 150 in Ireland , not sure how many in Italy, UK , do your maths …
@bn The pooly timed communication comes at a time where many people in several EU countries were already shown the door and are either gone or in garden leave.
@bn it has to be part of what is already happened : Ireland , UK, Germany , Italy, Spain etc ..
@bj which LOB?
The EWC email today, talks about something to come, or is part of the already happening RIFs in EMEA?
@bj what role/LOB?
Colleague of mine in UK was just RIF'd on Wednesday (12th Nov)
This communiqué provides a summary of the transnational reorganisation proposal announced by Oracle to the EWC on September 3rd, 2025. This proposal included a restructuring of several Lines of Business (LoBs) and will impact a significant number of employees across the European Economic Area (EEA). As part of this process, Oracle anticipates the possible dismissal of up to 1,865 employees, representing approximately 10% of its EEA workforce.
Big one coming in Mid January onwards.
I think for now they are taking a break, but in January they'll get back to it.
