Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

The Layoff notices started before the sun came up!

I was notified that my position was being eliminated around 6am, before I even took a sip of coffee. SMH.

Must have been narrowly focused. No one in my office knows of anyone selected, nor has there been any information shared via teams or email. Couple hundred of us heard nothing. Many did ask supervisors but nothing was shared with any of them either. Word made it to my Director who said she was not even aware of any scheduled activity. She is reaching out to our AVP for any information that can be shared internally.

@bp There were a number of shell-shocked people in the groups near ours early this morning. I didn't realize what was going on until early afternoon. Someone pointed out these were the same people always hanging out in the break area or walking around talking on their cell phones. Tomorrow I am going to try finding out where they used to park. Might be able to score one in the shade.

C'mon now, this is boring. Where's all the pinheads boasting about how they game the system every day? Didja get one of them letters? Want some help with the big words? Wait, tell us how disappointed your family is with your failure to provide for them. Look at the upside, you don't have to come to the office anymore, and you save on gas and tolls. See? There really is a silver lining.

Maybe you wouldn’t have been targeted if you had already been in the office.

“Locations: NJ, Atlanta, Dallas that I know of. Hubs aren’t safe.”

You still have to be a strong performer if working in a hub location. Lower performance will always lead to lower rankings by your management chain.

@a4 maybe they just picked the wrong people. No surprise as they never do anything right.
