@bk And if doesn’t. If it fails by 2028-29 all of these leaders need to be held accountable
When Arvind says that Quantum will have an impact on IBM's top and bottom line in 2028-2029 what he means is that there will be a big internal effort to "tag" mainframe/legacy SW/consulting deals as "Quantum" in ISC even though they have ZIP to do with anything Quantum. Maybe they'll rename Cloud Paks as Quantum Paks with no other changes. And figure out a way to rebrand Bob as Quantum AI. The only actual Quantum will be in the name though.
@bh yes, you are absolutely right. The cockroach CEO Alvind is trying to get the ignorant fools on Wall street to invest in his failing company. It reminds me of the saying "A fool and his money are soon parted". Kramer is a used car salesman trying to push IBM shares like crazy before the "meltdown" announcement. He's likely getting bribed under the table to make the cockroach CEO of IBM look good. If the potential investors care to learn the truth about IBM, they would run away from this train wreck of a company. Nothing solid behind it any more, just fake news and promises of future growth and wealth.
@b9 10 years is ridiculously optimistic. 25-30 years is much more realistic for commercially viable, useful, quantum computers. But it's far from certain that it will EVER happen. CEOs talking about 3-5 year quantum roadmaps are just targeting uninformed investors.
Lightwell for free to all Universities in the US... Well, that won't sell anyways... so, that is why it is free! Why not Free for all IBM? lol!
I guess no more AI? This is already a thing of the past since it has not been working for IBM! Next Quantum...
Time to sell your IBM shares! Quantum will not make any significant money in the next 10 years. More hype from IBM!
