Reshuffling National Sales in WIM

I heard they cut some of the fat cats at the top of the hierarchy. They are making them reapply for their positions while also providing severance pay? I haven't noticed any of those positions listed either internally or externally. From what I hear, they covet fresh ideas and are looking for external applicants for those positions.

Did they just decide they can manage without the higher salaries at the top? I worked near one of them, and they always seemed to be doing nothing at all, they are from the Maryland area. They complained half the time about their direct report and the other half just looked busy and left early often. I know WIM sales is very heavy with people making too much. Is this a sign of the future? Cut from the top and move down instead of the usual cut from the bottom and gradually move up?

I cant comment on the "top" positions but the reshuffling is happening at all levels. They told national sales that they were moving all the national sales staff out of St louis to Charlotte by the end of this year. I think there is maybe 1 or 2 people left that haven't found other jobs in STL location or moved on. Everything is shifting to Charlotte.

Haha. It seems like you either lost your job or you're looking for one of those "sales" positions. National sales are pushing Alternate Investments onto financial advisors and clients just because the commission is higher and to drive revenue, not caring about the clients best interest. 90% of the sales team couldn't cut it as financial advisors, and now they come up with ways to boost our revenue by pushing unnecessary products on clients. Not happening here , my friend. I treat my clients with respect and have them invest with a fee of 100 bp’s or less.

Fat cats? Hardly.

It's more of reshuffling the deck chairs. They did list most of the reqs. I guess you didn't look. A lot of jobs are being hired in Charlotte.

Either way, seems those jobs are way over your head.
