Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Payroll Deposit Today

I got deposit today on my account , but like half of what I normally get.

I understand 2026 payroll makes it difficult for 26 payments.

I am still confused

People read and retain, excepted guy out of country
Email from HR on 12/15
27 pay periods instead of 26. Items from Annual Benefits Enrollment are based on 26, so nothing deducted today. All others, 401k, stock, parking are normal unless you maxed out your 401k

@OP here .

Thanks for those who contributed positively and not spamming likes on their post and dislike on other post.

I am out of country and can’t login to WF laptop.

Now I know what happened.

I normally contribute about 15% per pay period for 401K, so it maxes out 3rd quarter of the year. So my paycheck has been bigger second quarter.

However, it seems this paycheck reset it, as one contributor below said, this Jan 2 paycheck covers Dec pay period, so it means the 401K contribution goes by the calendar year of paycheck .

I have 2 banks for my direct deposit, one bank decided to give me the deposit on New Year’s Day, which causes the confusion and the other bank deposited it today as expected.

27 paychecks this year, but benefits are calculated off 26 therefore no benefit deduction this first check. also, my paycheck was much less today than usual but I expected that. I make over 176k per year so I max out my social security taxes mid year, thus that tax comes back beginning of year. i also max out my 401k each year so for the last few months I haven't had a 401k deduction but now that the year has reset my 401k deduction is back, hense as much smaller pay check.

not sure why the OP can't log in and check his pay stub while on PTO, but everyone should get setup for teamworks/wprkday from home which will allow you to download you paystubs and w2 as well as deal with many other things.

@a2 - was it announced somewhere that they would not deduct insurance premiums this paycheck? I had not seen/ heard that and got a little concerned that my benefits enrollment had gotten sc--wed up.

@bc common sense says this is a layoff board and not about current employee compensation

Strange, I see the full amount direct deposited. It's almost like @OP is trying to troll some fear.

@c5
This just confirms to me you lack common sense.’

It is because I expect paycheck to hit on Jan 2, but I saw a deposit on Jan 1.
‘This is the exact reason I started this post .

And the fact that the amount was way less than my bi-weekly pay , is why I was thinking it could be associated with an end of year thing.

@a2 Any reason why no insurance premiums for the last pay ? We’ve already paid the final yearly premium in the 12/19 pay ?

@af

D-mb d-mb, pay check hits your account technically on Jan 2, 2026. You can restart contributions to your 401k. This has to be a fake post.

Common sense should have told many of you that if I had seen my paystub, I won’t ask the question.

I only got alert from my bank that I got a deposit for x amount from WF.
I know that amount is less than my regular bi weekly.

I am out of country and won’t login until Monday.’

When people start saying “ if you can,t figure your check , then leave” my experience shows this kind of people have a lot of frustration in their lives and only want to vent.

If you are not contributing to a question, then keep your mouth shut ( I mean don’t reply)

@b9 what does being on PTO mean you can't log in?

Also, you belittle others about only doing basic things. But aren't basics things like understanding your paycheck and logging into the network?

Does that mean you don't have basic or average skills?

Most of you commenting are morxxrons.
I guess your paycheck is so small , you scrutinize everything .

I have been on PTO for about a month, can’t login to check my paystub.

No wonder your jobs are sent to Indian - you only do basic or average skill work.

I understand the anger - due to jealousy and envy.

@aa

If you make over $300k and have to ask a question about your paycheck on a layoff board, then Wells needs to track you down and get rid of you.

Thanks , can you explain further . I only have 401K, so I am still not clear why I got this money today on my account.

And I think I already maximized my 401K contribution back in November.

This happened to me but it was because I had decided to take the $10000 Roth donation as a percentage of pay as well as the usual 401k. Poster below is also right about the increased taxes on more because of not paying the benefits

@a2
Thanks . I am thinking my bank just paid me a small amount because of the new year holiday . Maybe they will release the rest tomorrow at the normal schedule.

My paycheck goes to two banks, the other bank did not make any deposit yet.

I am also thinking it could be overpayment on my 401K deduction or social security tax , since I make over 300K

@OP Not true. The latest pay is for the period of 12/14-12/27 so it should be your regular biweekly pay. If anything you might be taking home more than usual because they are not deducting insurance premiums this paycheck although tax withholdings are slightly higher as a result.
