Your bonus is determined by your manager. I am proof of this as a consistently high performing employee, going from Exceeds at year end to 'IM' in the following midyear solely because I was on the location strategy layoff list. I was handed my golden ticket late in the year and expected my bonus was going to be significantly impacted. However, when I went into my bank account in mid-February of the following year, I was very pleasantly surprised as my one-over-one 'had my back' and made sure I received a commensurate bonus to my prior year where I had received an 'Exceeds' rating. Grateful to a phenomenal department leader who truly cared about me as an employee.

@ds they are requiring managers to rate people as does not meet even if the manager thinks they do meet. That makes it bs if they don’t get a bonus. Maybe we should rate manager on their performance.
For CSBB last year it was reduction 80% on TVC and no raise.
It means laid off and no bonus
@b7 this just proves how wages are discriminatory against those who dont fit the profile they like. The rest of us are scapegoats.
Always told you had to be meets to get bonus. Inconsistently meets is basically not doing your job. If you get any bonus is a small token amount. You don’t get rewarded for not doing the job is the line of thought.
This year, those below Meets will lose a significant percentage of their bonus, if they get anything.
@b7 oh poor you, 6 figure bonus
I got the same rating after 30+ years. Let’s say my job has 30 things I am responsible for. 5 of them are out of my control but I can influence. Knocked it out the park with 85% of the items and they are very time consuming which leaves me little time to play Twitter influencer. Nope, I should have angered everyone I support and said F you to the 85% and just focused on the 5 things (15%). But my manager still likes me and gives me a like.
I know there will be no merit and bonus will be slashed. Just wondering who among my peers Manager is trying to hook up. The funds will still be there but I won’t. Time to plan an exit. Low chance for me to ever get a package.
The firm uses a rating of inconsistently meets to lay off underperformers. The irony was that managers who give these ratings lose high producing teams, half their staff and still get promoted
That's insane.
I got an IM rating last year and it was a 15% cut to my bonus but they still retained my 6 figure bonus though it just went downhill from there. Company is toxic. Leave before they fire you!
Yes, but it will be a minimum of 20% lower than prior yr.
Yes, with a reduction
No. Why would you expect one?
I was told to be bonus eligible you have to get at least Meets Expectations on your review.
If you do, it will be slashed by > 10%
