Does anyone know if we do NOT do VSP, and then RIF’d later, are we not eligible for any severance ?
30k after taxes leaves you nothing after 10 years ! ridiculous over !!!
How long have you been with the comly?
Anyone on here go by Kornbread on reddit?
Just got mine, approximately 30k+ with benefits. Gotta try and get it. Thats a damn good severance.
@ay Yes-I’m with Fidelis and already have my VSP email.
@b3 what is the poilicy number for this so I can share with my team?
@ag that would pay my wage for a couple years… just sayin
@OP Wow! I was recently laid off from Centene. Never saw this coming.
@b3 that is the standard RIF severance package. Voluntary separation is usually a different amount.
I’ll take one for the “CenTeam”! I’m out, I’m bouncing, when’s my last day?
Ridiculous and that clown Asher needs to go
@b7 Tons of "vendors" I am seeing all new
Will totally take it if it's a viable option. Been looking for a reason to try something new with my talents and propensity to endure self-inflicted misery lol
@b3 The email about the VSP did not give us much info. Very frustrating.
@a4 I know of quite a few recently hired through temp agencies so hiring freeze is BS
@ay I just got out of a meeting and everyone is included all markets are in jeopardybecause of the BBB from this administration
@b2 thats not how it works
This is what apparently what the centene spokesperson told public media
In archer, you can see the severance policy for vps and “others”
It looks like it’s 2wks salary x years employed in a lump sum if you’re exec, then it’s 1wk x years, then it’s 1wk x .75 salary x years so hooooopefully the vsp is better than those numbers. These are potentially better than unemployment depending on your tenure and pay but because the govt controls job statistics- unemployment is supposedly down and under 5% so unemployment benefits will be lower on top of everything.
So they'll email you telling you that you are eligible for VSP. If you don't accept then you're on the list of layoffs. Is that how this works???
According to bloomberg, if not enough employees take VSP, then they will do layoffs. They have a certain target that they are meeting

@ax The Charlotte thing and the timing of MNF's passing will always be the biggest What If's for me.
1) I very much assume the pressure to replace the board members that were insulating MNF was brought on by investors with connections to Sarah (her face was always first shown when the discussion of him actually building a bench played out in company videos).
2) MNF using Charlotte as an "East Coast Headquarters" was entirely to play North Carolina and Missouri against one another in giving the company more sweetheart deals to remain in the respective states.
3) To obtain the funding from NC, he had to place X # of butts in the Charlotte office ... and to do so, he would've tried to force the rest of us back into office (or at least hybrid).
@ax They wouldn't be offering it if it was the long-term benefit of the employee - keep that in mind.
Everything disclosed today, including the timing, was strategic: Sarah's announcement -> requesting you to click the link the podcast -> building dread, as they tell you you'll receive an email later -> said email NOT disclosing much information (more delay, more dread).
There is probably another card they'll play if/when enough people don't take the VSP before offering severance.
Is Fidelis Care included? I’m on vacation right now and have no access to emails.
I highly doubt any package will be worth it. They have been pretty stingy with "voluntary" programs. The incentive to relocate to Charlotte was a joke, for example.
Remember, if you quit voluntarily, you are likely to forfeit unemployment payments. Make sure to factor that in.
I also find it very amusing that recent efforts for voluntarily leaving government jobs was criticized, and Sarah and team using the same tactic.
@at and I think there's a number of people who have been flirting with the idea of retirement, who take the company up on that offer.
I know someone in my area a few years back who asked to be RIF'd, as he wanted to retire. So naturally the dept didn't honor his wishes.
Any idea of what Departments will be affected
I appreciate the transparency. At least it’s not another “gotcha” surprise RIF. Giving people the choice to leave if they want to means more people who DO want to stay will actually get to.
I'm freakin out, man.

@aq hasn't been sent out, will be emailed later this afternoon
Does anyone know the terms of the voluntary layoff (severance package)?
@ak unless we are talking about the original CEO message, yeah everyone got that.
@aj yeah it was sent as a corp communication under the London Calling title to everyone.
@aj as far as I know, it went out to the entire company
@aj I did not get an email....
Did everyone get the email?
Or if we got the email that means they want this select group of people to quit?
Facts
she made 19 million dollars last year...
@ae Don’t worry. Sarah will keep you in her thoughts and prayers this summer. Just as long as it doesn’t mess up her vacay to the Hamptons or the French Riviera or wherever the elite go. I mean we wouldn’t want her to get crocodile tears in her strawberries and cream at Wimbledon this summer
