Single income and Have 2 kids in elementary school going to middle in 2 years. Frisco seems to be best so far based on what I saw in great schools. But commute su-ks. Can you please recommend other areas, somewhat closer to commute. I may have to drop off kids and pick them up as well. So some flexibility there would help.

So exciting!
McKinney, Plano, and Allen all have great schools too, not just Frisco. Just so you know, all of these ISDs have a lot of kids from South Asian families who are very driven and do extremely well academically.
I personally know quite a few students from these districts. Many ended up at Ivy League schools, and plenty of others chose great universities like UT Austin and other top schools. The ones who didn’t go to an Ivy League school usually did so by choice, not because they couldn’t get in. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of these areas. Welcome to Texas!
Just FYI, the Dallas office will be going away and everything will be based out of Plano by 2027. Keep that in mind when planning where you’re going to move. If you plan on staying AT&T for a while, you might be better off living in Plano and just paying for private school
Being fairlynew to DFW I wish we would have settled in Flower Mound Texas.
@b0 your bus idea is so tired. ranks up there with "whelp, see you on the commute" guy.
They are just gonna lay you off anyway. If they aren’t paying you to move then they want you gone.
Instead of being a chauffeur, here is a novel idea----have your children ride the bus to and from school!!
Don’t be a--holes guys. Give genuine answers. I am suffering here
This is not the place to ask.
Deep Ellum. Best schools!
Sweet! Send your kids to Karmelos school. Heard it’s great.
Plano, Richardson and North Dallas will get you bit closer and good schools. Commute will su-k regardless.
