A deal was made, so I bet she is happy. A bad company gets punished financially, and job opportunities are generated for the benefit of the economy. No matter how much the lawyers and the IRS took, whatever is left is still greater than zero for her.
If I was you, I'd keep drinking also. I'm sure your 5th pleading lord and master would approve if he wasn't busy torturing puppies to death. It takes a lot of courage to sue and stick with it. I’d expect a payout of at least a million. Keep in mind her attorney would probably take 30% and taxes at least another 40% given her pay rate. Was it worth it? Only she knows for sure.

Chuck Sharf su-ks a-s, and Wells Fargo has the d-mbest and most arrogant lawyers in corporate America.
if everything in the article is accurate, sounds like she had a decent case and if course WF settled as they should. The cost just to defend would cost them over a million. Probably gave her around $500k.

Until a massive class-action suit is filed and becomes national news, the abusive behavior will only continue.
At every step, the courts ruled she had merit to her case and could bring it to trial. Wells Fargo folded because they didn't want the facts to go before a jury and become public record. I expect they feared the punitive damages/additional compensation could have been extraordinary once a jury heard how the employee was treated. The lesson for everyone is if you are wronged, don't back down

In other words, WF settled to keep it from becoming even a bigger story.
The real tragedy is that this poor lady is almost certainly a victim of "safe and effective", which COO knowingly pushed on employees for years. When it didn't ki-l her, they sought other means to get her off the stagecoach.
