@ag I don't agree with id--t, the man is wildly smart at least in the academic sense of the word given his credentials. I will say, the simple scale difference between where he came from and what he is charged with leading, was very much on display. The credential that he used was that he came from a highly regulated environment like Centene, checks one a two dozen boxes. However, his old work saw a million and half transactions a year from purchases and refinances. In our world. tens of millions of customers and hundreds of millions of transactions each year. How Sarah made the leap to he was the right choice to lead us forward, only she can explain that.

All these people on stage today, their salaries are public information 😉🤣 nothing they say changes that Centene is a Corporation and For Profit!

I have no words really! The meeting is an absolute joke! Why don’t they rip off the bandaid and talk about what this mission simplify is really all about…. Padding up those execs’ pockets by reducing the bottom dollar. What happened to the original mission of Ms. Betty? I’m sure she’s shaking her head & wagging her finger at everything.

My takeaway from the town hall is that Sarah and her leadership team may be underestimating the emotion of the company. After the recent reductions, employees need clarity, direction, and some sort of evidence that leadership understands what the company is experiencing. Instead, much of the hour feels centered on what Sarah and her leaders wanted shared rather than what we needed to hear. Drew stood out because he anticipated his audience. He simplified his message, provided visuals, and helped us follow along. It was a good reminder that effective communication starts by standing where your audience is sitting.

The reality with this leadership and company is despite preaching values like leading with authenticity, their idea of authenticity is to brush over the negative things and difficult subjects, and instead just continue with business as usual. We could all be sitting in the audience looking angry and they would pretend like they don't see us.

I am a bit surprised Sarah or her handlers think her slide-free presentation is the best approach to share her messages. She lost me with her use of the word quantum, and then lost me with her new 321. Compare that to Drew and he keeps it simple so we can follow along and understand what he is sharing. I think Sarah may have a skewed view on what it is like to experience her from afar.
