Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

This SalesChat training they've got us in is by and large one of the d-mbest things I've ever been assigned.

It's just these two people (nothing against them, they're just doing their jobs) lecturing us for an hour about the "value" of SalesChat and how to use this trash.

My favorite part is all the participants are in collective, yet silent agreement that this is so damn d-mb that nobody is participating. Our breakout rooms are just 10 minutes of silence since all 4 of us can't be arsed to gaf about this garbage.

I can't believe they're still pushing this garbage tool on us.

Saleschat is already outdated and spitting out answers like "contact team XYZ for your correct answer." This is internal marketing trying to keep their jobs, which to be fair, is all internal marketing do.

Can confirm it’s a waste of an hour.

@ap
To be fair, those KPIs are out of scope for the LnD team.
It's Sales Ops who monitor them, and reporting varies based on country/sub-region GBO policies.
I've seen countries where those metrics are proactively shared with ICs, others where they made a PowerBi report for self-service (but not actively advertised), other countries where data is shared only with managers, who are responsible for cascading.
The ones users with low Saleschat adoption are getting are just plain enablements, where LnD got basically told "you have to remind them there are KPIs, you have to push them to adopt, you have to bring in an active user to suggest some real case scenario for sales".

You’re training the bot.

@ap that’s funny - we are all measured though and it’s role dependent (I saw stats for our team shared by a manager - in sales roles it’s 25 interactions a week is what we are measured on)

Ask them how you're measured, and where can you see the measurement? "If I'm being tracked on my engagement, I'd like to see how I'm doing against it so that I can do my best work."

The answer was hilarious. "We're going to put that question in the parking lot." - that's a direct quote from one of them.

You basically are using the AI Chat to answer the questions. That's it. Is it accurate? Am I answering the customer's questions? You have a round table discussion with the people that are teaching you this stuff and some do not even have Sales experience. They have experience teaching sales and they make themselves sound like they've been selling for years. Hahahaha! But that is what they want. Take less experienced people, pay them less and bingo, instant success at low cost.
