Thread regarding PayPal layoffs

Aren’t employees tired of stock going down?

Do employees know there is a direct correlation between share price and employee layoffs? This Board and management team has destroyed any value in this company which constantly drives the value of PayPal lower. Now we seem to be relying on lowball buyout offers to give us any hope. I have lot of company stock from the 7 years I’ve been here and it constantly goes down. Even if they sold the company for $90 a share I would still lose money over a 7 year period!!!!! That is absolutely nuts.

Then why don’t u leave and find a place where you think the stock will go up?

If you are truly an employee, your logic is the reason why our company is trash.

@af some of us use refreshers as part of our total compensation. This has nothing to do with “buying stock”

How would you lose money if you did not buy the shares yourself?

I’m not sure the percentage of employees that get stock comp or even buy stock. I bought 200 shares a few days ago and I bought 250 before all the buyout talks when we were like $45. A friend of mine who works for a broker said it’s a pretty good buy if you could hold for a few years. I would agree.
