I see a grade 14 in Minneapolis advertised at $98,000 - $115,000. That seems kind of low, especially if they don’t offer $115,000. I know grade 12’s making over $100,000. This company is cheap and a dead end. Thank you Gunjan!

@cb Stop watching Fox News. You're foolish if you think what's currently happening at a Federal level isn't creeping into the way corporations are treating their employees. Wake up. The immigrant fixing your roof isn't the reason we are all in corporate he-l right now.
@ab Blue? The immigration policies are why wages are so suppressed. Blue CAUSED this.
The destroyers of this establishment just keep digging holes for themselves. I hope they fall in those holes soon cause everything happening is just unreal. Feels like we’re in he-l. They keep turning on the flames.
@ae I think they are doing away with pay ranges based on geo codes. I see a grade 14 posted in Los Angeles with a salary range between 98,000 and 115,000, same as what OP said was for Minneapolis. It looks like the directive is to pay people the lowest salary possible regardless of the area they live in.
Because they used to post the range at 85% to 110% of the pay range based on city (geo code) and grade (12, 13, 14, etc.).Now they post at 85% to 100%.
Last comp cycle, many people at midpoint did not get a pay raise WHILE at the same time not bumping up the ranges 2 to 3 percent like they did every year before that. Midpoint is now the "unofficial" max.
The bank already paid lower than competitors, but now it's worse. But the job market is in favor of the employer not the employee so that can get away with it. But our CEO got paid very well against her plan (105% instead of 90% like the rest of us).
Again people I keep saying, regulation, union, and antitrust are tools that have been weaked for decades now. And you wonder why CEO and csuite pay, stock buybacks, offshoring, automation/ai, cheaper h1b visas are all going up thru the roof but we barely keep up. The real enemies are the super wealthy and their spoiled kids.
All the big companies are pulling this ‘market correction’ right now. You should see what they want to pay if you’re in the job market right now. 🤣 Late stage capitalism may just destroy us all. I suggest eveyone vote the blue way for the midterms to have even a slight chance to get this train back on track….
Not only that, but we are not allowed to hire over the mid point so the salary range is actually 1/2 of what is advertised. It's all bunk anyways, it's just a ploy to justify hiring H1Bs or outsourcing because "well I guess there are no Americans to do the job, eh?"
It’s not MN salary grade. It’s a Geo salary code C. So if there are multiple cities they will hire in that’s why. Or if it’s remote MN it will default to geo salary C. So technically it’s not lower. It will depend on where they hire it.
They demoted a grade a 14 to a 12
