Is there any truth to MORE Optum layoffs this December 2025?

@OP It is absolutely disgusting what they are doing laying off people the week before Thanksgiving. Absolutely despicable but honestly, I am so grateful that I was laid off because it’s only gonna get worse. For all of us have been laid off I wish you nothing but the best and I wish you well and for those of you who are still working for this I’m grateful company. Good luck. Ungrateful, greedy, controlling, uncaring, medical corporation. I apologize to all the patients who go to Optum for healthcare. I am so sorry you are not getting the care that you deserve.

11/20 - Nine sites in Orange County, California were notified their doors are being shuttered on 12/5/2025, affecting managers, supervisors, medical assistants, APCs, and physicians. They will be "consolidated" into the remaining clinics. The region was told that no one would be let go, only reassigned. Surprise, surprise. They lied. Multiple roles "eliminated," including a director position.

I am in compliance department under OPTUM, delegation oversight out of CA and many of our Director's and Managers got cut yesterday and they told us there is (another) re-organization where our managers are no longer managers but "consultants". We've all been shuffled under one manager and we were told "roles would continue to be a-sessed". We still have jobs and made it, this time. Not sure for how long though. Very stressful for sure.

I was one of the LVN's let go yesterday in the NTX market. Many years with this company, just gone! This company is morally bankrupt!! No integrity. It's no longer about patient care... It's Greed!! To them we are just a number. A lot of good nurses gone just like that!!! It's heartbreaking and my heart goes out to everyone affected.

I was part of the layoff today in DFW. Our team sat through 2 meetings with leadership and was lied too about “no front line staff” will be affected but yet here we are with 108 employees without a job. For those that still have a position, I highly recommend networking, revamping your resume and put out inquiries. They will continue to layoff going into the next year.
