@2e7 Retiree health care is not going to get lower pre Medicare. Every single employee would have to wait till 65 to retire. Anthem is most expensive and Surest which was recently added is half the price. Im sure 90 % of people thinking about leaving dont even know about the surest plan.
@r1 We heard an isp/eisp is definitely coming this year as per multiple people in management and the union here in NJ. But it’s very tight lipped about how many and what the package would be. We are being told they want to get rid of everyone still pension eligible but the retiree healthcare is what’s holding a lot of the members back from retiring. The package would have to be worthwhile.
@r1 40 years? Try 140 years.
@r0 Those union members finally got the offer they kept waiting 40 years for! Finally!. 😂
@OP Surplus announced. 6 Telegraph Operators.
@c7 You're probably right but in that case I think they will be disappointed in the number of retirements they get, unless they sweeten the pot in some other way.
@aa There won’t be a medicare bridge. That’s a fantasy.
@OP Historically there’s never been a surplus announced in the month July for the NY State footprint, ever.
@b9 Nice!!
If I so choose, I am on an EISP until 2030.
@at Heard it from the grapevine!
@OP Heard from who?
It’s certainly not lol. Most felt an EISP would come after the management Riff’s & reorg…which has not been completed. If someone told you July they were simply wrong so it in no way means anything
@OP So you have been getting bad info on this site? Shocking!
The union has a ratified four year contract extension starting next month. If they offer a good EISP with some kind of Medicare Bridge, that’s great. If they don’t, work another four years and earn another $600k from them. Also great. My two cents.
I guess nobody knows until it comes or or not, the rumor I heard a eisp is coming, off payroll by end of September. Not a big shocker because there is a eisp every year it's just usually very limited as far as how many and job titles.
Now the company has cut management so it seems to make sense they want to cut associates as well, how many who knows?
