are people looking for a new job now or going to wait it out and see if you get laid off?

I’m sick of their sh-t. Hoping for that approval to come through asap! They’ve been taking away from staff for years and adding more and more bullsh-t.
@a7 tell us your secrets because I’ve been applying non stop and I’m getting crickets… this su-ks
@a6 Right there with you.
@a7 If you have a decent job offer, I would resign, give my 2 weeks notice, and jump this sinking ship. There is no loyalty here as you can obviously see.
I already have a job offer but the was the Centene deal is structured I can’t accept it because “maybe 9/1” doesn’t work as a start date to give…
They could at least give a definite stop date.
Both. Waiting it out so I can continue to collect a paycheck and am eligible for unemployment if/when they fire me, but also job hunting to minimize any gaps of unemployed time.
I'm not making it easy for Centene, though. They benefit from people not filing for unemployment, because they have to keep unemployment insurance which is paid by their payroll taxes. So if they want me gone, they're going to have to fire me. Like he-l I'm going to do the hard part for them.
@OP I think a lot of people are looking. If you stay, you risk layoff or future layoffs. Not to mention, this just destroyed morale.
Actively applying but it’s really hard to get any response from companies. Job market is trash rn.
Everybody at Centene is looking for a new job now. No one is going to stay on this sinking ship. Even if you make it through this one, will you make it through the next one? They are dismantling this company piece by piece. And it's not going to stop here.
