Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

No PTO Payout

Just wow. I was displaced (last day of employment was 12/26/25). Unused PTO payout is due the last day of employment. WF did not make that final payment. When I called, HR Service Center the automated message says payment will be made Jan 30th??? WTH?! Will that include interest?

Lousy and incompetent!

I was displaced on 12/26/2025 and I have not received unused PTO balance of 89 hrs. Hr keep saying system glitch and known issue and created a case for me.

I was also displaced as of 12/25. On 12/26 I got paid out for my 18 days of PTO plus small partial paycheck (rounding out from the offset from last paycheck.)
I was pleasantly surprised I didn't have to fuss about it. I hope it gets straightened out for you soon.

I haven’t been paid out for PTO either and I was officially let go on 12/26/25 (60 day notice started 10/28/25). HR said people who had 20 hrs PTO or less received their payout on their last paycheck. HR said, a system glitch happened and the remaining people who were still needing PTO payout would receive it by 1/16/26. That didn’t happen for me yet and so I had to call HR back so they could create a case to get me my PTO paid out.

To a degree it depends on your situation. I was given notice Dec. 10, 2024. At that time I had like 8 days scheduled off in the year, plus 5 days carryover. My 2024 days were cancelled and I was paid-out my >5 days balance at the end of 2024. My remaining 5 days + 2025 earned hours were paid out as part of my final 'regular' check, the Monday following end of notice period.

@a2 This is true. Large Intl Aerospce provides unlimited PTO then laid off. No PTO payout. It is a scam. BTW. No notice period paid. They send out an email from corp stating that there will be a 20% reduction in your area (AZ) that is considered notice

WARN notice=60 days.
I was paid out my accrued PTO on the last day of my notice period. So if you have a 60 day notice period and you were laid off on 12/26/25, then add your 60 days to that, and that is when you will get your accrued PTO. Interestingly, you will continue to accrue PTO during your notice period. So your PTO payout will be higher than what you had on 12/26/25.

You maybe shoulda RTOd and you'd still be saving your PTO time for spring break and a summer cruise to the Aegean. Enjoy your time off!

PTO pays out after the working or nonworking notice. It’s in your packet.

Count your blessings that you're getting any PTO payout at all.

Lots of people in tech. were lured with "unlimited PTO" as a "perk", only to find that was a loophole for their company to not have to pay them any PTO when they got laid off.,

Some people get PIP'd as a way for them to be unfairly fired, without any severance at all.

Look forward, not backward.
Focus on a new job for the new year.
