Another performative meeting. Same fake smiles, same empty hype. The opener must’ve said “I’m so excited” five times — and I couldn’t tell if he was convincing us or himself. These things are so staged it’s painful. Nothing real, nothing transparent. At this point, soap operas feel more honest. At least actors admit they’re performing.

When T gets on stage shouting her over-scripted message the whole time, you trolls flip out. When a guy shows up and talks like a normal person without being too scripted, you trolls flip out.
Funny thing is I bet you IT trolls can't even speak at all but you'll point fingers.
He must have gotten a raise last year or hasn’t been to a grocery store in a while.
We aren’t excited.
I don’t mean to nit pick like Simon Cowell from Idol.. but
How new is this guy? First slide was wrong, TIAA dropped CREF in ‘16 rebrand. I can’t remember when we dropped “for the greater good” though. I couldn’t get over all the “umms” and “uhhs” either. Doesn’t know how bad our Mutual Funds actually are/were (why were rebranded to Nuveen). Does he even know what an annuity is? Completely unengaged and not brainwashed enough like other speakers. Dude needs more of that koolaid training that others have before getting on stage. Was absolutely dreadful watching or listening to him go on and on for more than 5 minutes.
@a5 classy
Guy clearly has not been laid in a decade or two if something about TIAA excites him.
I can't stand even reading a company email that proclaims an "exciting announcement."
