@OP You will get the email the day of the layoff, not days before. Once you get the email, your duties for the 2 weeks are done. You basically look for a job for 2 weeks. If a position is interested in you, they can give a 30-day extension while the paperwork gets done. If you are offered a position and don't take it, you don't get severance.

@aa The lockout had nothing to do with an impacted list. Surplus names were not due until after that event happened according to a timeline that was shared.
It’s interesting how much unnecessary anxiety can be created when speculation is treated as a reliable source of information.
It’s likely some people inadvertently locked out will be impacted but just because a person was locked out does not mean they are on “a list”.
