Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Team Member Checking question

Hello, Does a Team Member Checking stay a Team Member Checking through the 60 day Non working employee period? Is it possible it could stay a Team Member Checking for the other 12 months of severance when the 60 days expires? BTW, Wells Fargo has excellent service for check ordering. I was worried with the Ice and bad weather it may take more than 10-14 days for my checks to arrive. I received them today. Thank you Wells Fargo and your check supplier.

Did they get rid of the foreign currency exchange rates for employees? That was nice if taking a family vacation to Europe or India.

Was with WFB for over 30 years and never had an account with them; maybe a CC or mortgage back when there were incentives, but even since then they've gotten rid of mortgage incentives and employee CC rates.

I don’t know. I changed banks. Why would you be okay with people in a desperately poor foreign country having access to your info?

they allowed me to keep my team member account for 6 months until they converted it and began charging me $10 a month, but I resigned I was not in any sort of period.

@a4 so after 60 days does it convert to "E.D." checking? That would be better than "PR" checking. (Trying not to say the other product types here in the public forum).

I was displaced at the end of September with 60 day non-working notice that ended towards the end of November. Got a letter in mid-January that my TM account would remain fee-free for 64 days after the end of my employment. Seems like the letter was sent late since I had less than 2 weeks before day 64 hit. There are ways to keep it free but all those options were already linked to another account to keep that one free so I just closed my TM account on Monday.

Your Team Member Checking remains the same through the 60 day notice, however it does not remain free for the next year unless you are eligible for Retirement. If you are eligible for Retirement, you may call the Severance Service Center and ask them to change TeamWorks to show Retired. This will NOT affect your severance pay. It will only allow you to keep your Retail benefits as a team member. Hope this helps!

@a2 I have family members with checking accounts at Credit Unions, those accounts are not all that. Wells has always had good check ordering services. Unless I have to switch, I'll keep the checking I've had for many decades. I've had my job here for many decades. I'm ready for my displacement and severance. I'm not ready to let go of my checking account.

Why would you want to still bank at WF? Go find a credit union, better rates, less fees even with the TM checking
