Is the VSP in lieu of salary until September 1st or would we receive salary and the VSP offer kicks in at sept 1st?

@a2 email soad they dont pay out unused time

🔹 When the VSP kicks in
The VSP (severance) begins after your employment ends
You typically receive:
A lump sum payment or
Payments over a set period (less common, depends on company terms)
🔹 So in simple terms:
✔ You get paid normally through 9/1
✔ Your VSP is in addition to that pay
❌ It is not in lieu of your salary before 9/1
🔹 One thing to double-check
Every company plan has fine print, so confirm:
Whether your VSP is lump sum vs installments
The exact payout date (often within 1–2 pay cycles after separation)
How unused PTO is handled (usually paid out separately)
Normal pay until Sept, then severance in a lump sum after that.
