Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

October 2

I understand October 2 is the last day for sales reps if they didn’t get a territory, if I have that right. Other than that what is the significance of October 2 for this company? What is the purpose of October 2, why not finish the year out? Thanksgiving and Christmas would be so close. That doesn’t even make sense!!
Is it a $ thing? Seems like there wouldn’t be enough people to work!! Who’s going to work all this? There’s only SO MUCH one person can do!!

@OP which is why ya’ll will find out by(before)Aug. 4th….they have to give 60 days notice when laying off more than “X” amount under Fortune 500 Company “ restructuring” premise.(think shareholders notices too) Mondeleze has always abided by this guideline, when “restructuring.” The only time this is not the case, is, when “cutting” a territory or two, in certain areas, can be a little as 2 weeks, because it’s not a nation wide company reduction of work force(rarely occurs). In most cases if someone is promoted or quits, they just don’t fill a position. If you recall they said ya’ll would know, “BY” not “ON” a certain date, yet, noting they gave Western region a last date of employment as Oct. 2nd 2026. The 60 days notice, was why deadlines given for taking the Hogan assessment test, so as to have all results back and able to make their decisions, then start their calls in the last week of July, notifying of who has a position & who is being let go. The 60 days is also a safety net, so if someone changes their mind of accepting the job, before the 60 days is up, they can keep an employee who was slotted to be laid off. I know this happens for a “FACT!”

Start of Q4 they will be looking towards rest of country that went RTM to hit Q4 the pricing in Northeast has been driving volume but don't expect that to continue into Q1- also capped Bonus at102% so do ki-l yourself if you are Du#b to take RTM roll

It's the start of Q4, which generally is the highest volume month. Just goes to show MDLZ is clueless what happens at store level during Q4. If there's not as much OT to pay, it'll be worth it in their eyes. Look forward to a great holiday season with mass chaos

@OP because when you are RTM there isn’t overtime. Going into the busiest qtr of the year for company. Use and abuse

Its the end of the quarter. Why didn't they wait til end of year? Mondelez doesn't think thru most of their decisions. Its going to be funny to watch though. I'm taking the buyout and running.
