Rambeau out and Mehta takes over two out of three segments. What is going on?

If youask AI, you will find out most of those who hold these positions are cronies from years gone by. Kubasik was head of L3 Technologies because he was friends with Lanza. Lanza was one of the L’s in L3. Both Lanza and Kubasik were on the board for lockheed. It would not surprise me if our next head will be someone from rocketdyne. pretty sure that guy was on the board at lockheed too. And all the reorgs, all the pinch of salaries and RIFs are just to keep investors from following the buckets of money. If you cant dazzle them with brilliance, you can baffle them with bullshiat.Remember, Kubasik was fired from lockheed for s-xual harassment. Corporate has less integrity than us peons.
As the workers, not the Execs, you have to keep one and ditch the other.. Rambeau or Mehta ?
Am a Rambeau keep guy…
Corporate layoffs? What happened to shared services?
@bv Could also just mean that they are worried about Mehta also leaving and bumped up his compensation and asked him to temporarily take on CSD since he is already familiar with it. Could be setting up Mehta as next CEO but doubt he will be running both segments long term.
@cs Agree - take the CSD profits out of LHX and see how the financials look! I can see them getting rid of some pieces of the business but not the money maker.
@bt sounds delicious!
@OP all the replies are so way off. CSD has a very profitable business, they ain't looking to sell off that.
They did the stupid Trump MSL deal, and that'll go how that goes.
But for the rest of the business, they're not going to sell off a very profitable and growing business in CSD. Fu--ing chill
Sorry for what happened to Shared Services today: you guys are my heart and go to, and I'm going to miss most of you.
It DOES look like CSD and SMS are a PERMANENT merger with Sam Mehta’s compensation and stock options increased.
Beyond the corporate layoffs today, I expect further shuffling and cuts at Segment and maybe Sector level.
WHACKED because we just went through a Segment shuffle and cut.
Unfocused companies don’t scale, they fragment.
What was the point of all this merging only to shrink the divisions or divest them with less of the institutional knowledge present?
Where do we send the honey crisp apples and the popcorn?
Bedingfield is crying in the corner.
Rambeau quit. Sam is taking over that segment to sunset that business. Looks like CSD will be broken up and sold off. The main manufacturing location for what's left will be Rochester, NY.
Clifton will close by the end of 2026.
Means all the Segment and Sector roles will be “rationalized”.., D-MB, is not like defense work is slowing down..
Seems Mr Mehta is the most “liked” VP in LHX…
No one asked Zoiss whether he could help out?
@a2 Don’t think he was fired.

Rambeau got a new job people, as should all of you. He knows this place is a sinking ship.

MELBOURNE, Fla., March 12, 2026--(BUSINESS WIRE)--L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) today announced an update to the leadership structure supporting its three reportable business segments, reinforcing the company’s continued focus on execution, operational performance, and customer mission.
Effective immediately, Sam Mehta has been appointed President overseeing both the Space & Mission Systems and Communications & Spectrum Dominance segments. The company expects to continue reporting financial results for each of its three segments separately, consistent with its previously announced structure. Mehta and Ken Bedingfield, who leads the Missile Solutions segment, will continue to report directly to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Christopher Kubasik.
"Sam is a proven operator with a strong track record of delivering results," Kubasik said. "I am confident he will drive further synergies across our business and operations. We remain focused on our highest priority – providing innovative technology at the speed and scale required to rebuild today’s industrial base and preserve peace through strength."
Mehta brings 25 years of leadership experience across the aerospace and defense industry. He previously led L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment and, earlier this year, assumed responsibility for the Space & Mission Systems segment.
Jon Rambeau, formerly President of Communications & Spectrum Dominance, has departed the company to pursue external opportunities. "Jon has made important contributions to L3Harris, and we wish him well," Kubasik added.
Wiped off the site too….he was probably more interested in writing more books of ““leadership””…all he did was RIF people in legacy IMS.

Wait what??? Can someone share the deets? Was this in an email??? Was org changes did they do???
@a3 Tuck. I hope my interview elsewhere pans out. He's gonna run this B into the ground.
Kubasik retiring end of the year? Mehta to take over? Better be nice. Looks like Bedingfield is out of the race.
Every part is for sale, partnership, spinoff, whatever.
Clear he’s the chosen one for CEO. Wonder if this is a signal the Kube is on his way out.
Effective immediately doesn't sound all that planned.
Gut feeling says Rambeau is out cause CSD is going to be cut up and sold or closed. Mehta is just the hatchet guy. Then another reorg or merger or both.
