Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Don't accept the number

We shouldn't just roll over and accept this comp plan. If we refuse to sign off en masse, it forces leadership's hand. They can't ignore us if the whole sales unit stands together. It'll corner them into a rethink or frustrate them. We need to get the word out to the rest of the Dell team even the ones who aren't checking the boards. Don't let this new plan breeze in over you all.

@b5 The grads current cutting their teeth in SB, brought into replace us now know their better of not moving into MB, ENT or DTS as while the basic will increase they won’t achieve what their currently making smashing it on “rate card”

Don't sign it then. There is a steady flow of new grad hires waiting to take your place.

If Sales as a whole is not willing to stand and fight to protect against changes to comp plans without representation, and overall employee rights - like others have done in so many other countries - then you have no room to complain. Cowards have no leg to stand on. You will continue to get sc--wed time and time again.

I already know a few people that can't go against this because of financial obligations. I don't know what this action will reap but it certainly will not motivate anyone. Quiet quitting just may have ratcheted up.

I just refused to sign and will not be signing. Don’t pay me. Smoke a goat. I’ll be leaving. What’s that you don’t care? That’s cool, me neither.

If I truly thought no one else would fold then I would do my part and not accept it. It just wouldn’t make a difference if everyone else still did. I wish we really all could stand together on something. It’s time to push back!

Yeah let’s refuse our quota letters, signing away our rights to ANY commission and making them even more money, that’ll show em

There is no unity amongst Dell employees. Just a bunch of backstabbing dorks. They will step on your back to get what they want. There are a few good ones, maybe 10% of them.

Good luck with that, though.

Its the craziest sales plan I have ever seen.So to motivate you we wont pay you under 60% but if you hit a bit over 60% we will give you a little bit but not whats due until you hit 100%.
Then if you hit 100% by a miracle we will give you more but just not as much as we do now.Oh and if you do hit over the number we will just add that on next quarter if thats OKa dn then we will just deny it.But trust us its better for you and us.
More like its just a straight up pay cut accross the board.
Lets just stick together and dont accept it.If you accept now they will push more and more. Please sir.Can I have some more.

@OP I’ve been told to expect a 35% uplift on last year’s Q1. Given the new comp plan, extended shipping delays, and long standing customers re-evaluating their commitment to Dell, this effectively takes me from being an achiever to earning nothing.
