@e4

And why not give examples of reliable sources then.

Mgmt is never going to tell the workers in advance .

And yes rumors and gossip sadly are the only way workers know what is going.

@de Of course I didn't expect the company to notify the employees about forthcoming layoffs. I was just saying that almost all postings on this forum about forthcoming layoffs come from people who doesn't have reliable info. They just convey their feelings, opinions, fears, as well as rumors. If, say, of many predicted layoffs only 1 is real, the information is not really useful. I think only providing the source of information can improve a posting's trustworthiness.

@ak

So you think the company is going to be 100% honest when it comes to layoffs?
You think they are going to have a layoff chart showing layoffs by
Department ? City, State Country

NO,NOPE its don't tell the workers anything until the last moment.

One of their favorite layoff tactics is the Stealth layoffs.
Layoff a few people in each department hoping nobody knows what is going on.

@OP I believe all we have here are just rumors and chatter. There is no even slightly reliable info.
I am following this forum for about 3 years. Out of many predictions of layoffs, only 1 was correct. Somewhat frustrating, isn't it?
