A coworker who got laid off is one of the best people we had. He always got perfect reviews and everyone respected him. If they can just let someone like that go, then it's clear that none of our jobs are secure. That reality is hard to ignore.

@ag if this was about savings and productivity, Finance and IT would still be here. How long does it take now to get answers, if ever? Too many experienced and talented coworkers are long gone.
Purely a numbers game. Make too much money at your level and you’re an easy target, no matter ratings, reviews, or performance. The company is in a free fall and they simply need to show savings to bottom line, regardless of the cost to productivity or output.
Reality 1 - all of us are numbers for the company
Reality 2 - PepsiCo is not a employee friendly company, no matter what Kool aid HR spins out externally
