Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Another week, another incorrect presence report.

This has been the worst week yet shorting me nearly an hour each day. Why can’t these mo--ns get this right?

"How does “leadership” define “core hours”?"

Core hours are not defined anywhere.

"The top issue is time outside of core hours."

Where are core hours detailed on our site?

@bp How does “leadership” define “core hours”? Assuming we’re just talking about USA based employees that’s 3 time zones - so 8am-8pm Eastern?

How many times do you need to be told?

Stop checking the report.

Leadership from SVP down to AD have all said flexibility has returned.

If you have not heard this, they are targeting your org for reductions.

Why can’t you just work 5x8?

WHY in the world do you care? So long as the report is incorrect and everyone knows it, they cannot use it to fire you. If it was working 100. % correctly, that is just more ammo for them to chop heads without paying severance. Be careful what you wish for!

They know it’s wrong. They don’t care. It fits their narrative!

Track your own time and export your system logs from Forcepoint. Mine is always wrong as well, about 38% off to the downside last month. I track my time, keep my logs, and when my boss brings up my presence report (she hasn’t in a while) I pull out the data. Put me on a plan or terminate me for wrong data and we’ll be in court. Yes it’s right to work, but if your cause is bad data, then I’m going to have a case.

@a5 “Our Leadership”
You trust and have faith in your “Leadership”??
Bless your heart.

When they discarded loyalty, there are bi-products to that, one being they cannot be trusted. In addition, it’s not like they haven’t lied before (RTO is all about collaboration)

@a5 that’s good for you, but our leadership told us the exact opposite. They are now closely tracking the report again based on dwindling numbers.

Our leadership has basically told us they no longer review it. Yours is probably the same. Relax.

Two days last week shorted me by 3 hours. The report is embarrassingly inaccurate. What’s sick is that people’s employment rely on the accuracy of this report, and the leadership believes it’s 100% accurate.
