Stop dangling the package out there

I have come to the belief that the packages going forward are going to be significantly smaller if at all. From the grapevine i hear folks just waiting. Tell us we can leave with a half package and watch how many throw in the towel. No mas! No mas!

if they give 7 months for less than 2 yrs of service, what does that tell you?

Every year the same comments get made…..”heard severance is being cut” and every year it is completely false. Same thing this year and I’m in a position to know. It’s remaining the same, so the rumor mill needs to just stop already. Layoffs are stressful enough. They don’t need to have added stress of people worrying they’re going to get less when they happen because that’s not true.

Nobody is dangling anything. It's not a carrot. It's more like a kick in the ba--s then they give you a consolation prize.

The few times I dangled my package publicly I got laughed at.

Highly doubt anything would change. Layoffs today are part of the same purpose and (project) as the past 3-4 years. I'd think you would have a fairly easy case when you can show Jane Doe received XXXX severance 6 months ago but you only received X-X today.

I'm wondering how many of us "Individual Contributors" consider what we do for WF and can envision parlaying that into a job somewhere else. Wish I had a clear vision for my personal brand (ha, ha...not really laughing). Then there is the whole "Better the devil you know than the devil you don't" thing that keeps so many of us locked into our golden handcuffs. I am going to continue working with AI on my personal pc to build the best resume I can and to have it help in the job hunt. Wishing everyone luck and peace!

severance will stay the same, but does surprise me they have not offered buy outs at a lesser amount.Perhaps if all the turning of the sc--ws doesn't increase voluntary attrition they will start to consider it.
