Thread regarding SAP layoffs

It's a tough place to find a groove, and it's all about who you know. But if you can survive that then you can milk the cow.

Its called setting boundaries and eliminating the noise. It seems to be working for him. Does his job, is informed, eliminates the drama, I assume he has been at SAP for awhile.

If you are overly invested in this company, you will burn out. Manage the knowledge, manage our time and energy. If you are managing a team. then managing them properly.

Most managers are in over their head and your team suffers.

If we are just task doers then we deserve to be replaced by AI agents: they are cheaper, never complain and get the job done....

I don't know why anyone goes to those meetings to begin with. They're just stage plays that talentless, worthless, attention seeking robots put on so that they can feel that they matter. Most of the people who attend the meetings are looking to vent or kiss a-s. They're a waste of time.

It’s one thing to act or react correctly to things that are within one’s control. It’s another thing to claim happiness by way of ignorance.

Ignoring (or trying to) is the only way people are carrying on...we live in a world where we are brought to think only about our bubble. In the past the tech industry would have been already shocked by employees strikes and forced to seat at a table and rethink their reckless behaviour towards employees...now every man looks after himself. So, until the layoff Russian roulette will not hit them they will be happy no matter what, maybe even giving great feedback in our super fair, transparent and safe unfiltered survey
