Fake Repairs

Conway management threatening employees with handling if the don't get ridiculous yard repair number. Being told to replace parts unnecessarily just to hit the numbers. Any other locations pushing this? AAR/FRA?

Sounds like someone's not going to hit their metric numbers. Sure hope their bonus doesn't take a hit.

@3ha bro this is a place of business. Why would any company tolerate $100 a day in lost revenue per car because you want to be a jackwad and BO a car for some silly reason. Or because someone made you do your job and you got butthurt. We’re all on the same team. Just play the game and succeed.

Do your jobs.

After every repair I always say a quick Amidah/Shemoneh Esrei prayer for this great company. May peace and prosperity bless us all. I encourage you to read the biblical chapter that describes the manna falling in the desert (Parashas HaMon from the Book of Exodus).

Up the track with up to 3 inch flat spots. Only 4 inch flat spots and longer are not usable.

Just curious, how may cars with legitimate defects get released because the shop count is high? Then you want to preach to me about making fake yard repairs. 30 air hose gaskets on one train! Give me a break. Do you really think people are stupid or are you the one who is delusinal?

Just make sure every NS, CR and SOU car has brand new gaskets when you come to it.

They want repairs, let them pay for it

@39e also if you want advice to help your yard, just bill for air hose gaskets. Quit giving them away for free. Every train has at least 30 leaking gaskets. There, now you can meet goal.

Do your jobs.

@35p do you have proof? NO…
What are you going to do, call and report yourself and coworkers for being lazy and billing for repairs you didn’t do?

Do your job.

nobodys lazy or delusional. The Carrier dosen't want to do repairs that actually require people, equipment, material, switching out carshops, etc. They just want to pretentend they are doing something to capture AAR billing.

You people are lazy and delusional. Rail cars are literally falling apart out there and you all can’t find anything to repair. Sure… do your job.

Most of these places have way to many bosses that do nothing at all other than collect a paycheck.

We hear the same bull, all our guys said please handle us, we could use the time off, all supervisors above front line supervision are mo--ns. They are pushing this because if we don’t get 75% AAR recovery they don’t get their bonus, everyone is sick of these dummies. I’ll make sure I never get the 75% , they can shove their bonus.
