@1x3 the folks in the CX/Web department are nice enough people, but has there ever been a more useless, inept black hole of a department in the history of commerce? What have they accomplished?

@1wx it’s an ugly list. It makes no sense but why would it? If it’s true, we’re not going to be in the CX or web survey business anymore

@vn couldn't agree more !!! Instead of cutting pay, perks, and positions at the top of the food chain which would save real money, they cut the rank and file, only to find out, they let too many of the rank and file go in the past year, that they have to overcorrect and advertise a ton of open positions. Now with attrition, the situation is much worse. Hiring non revenue generators, non revenue savers and more non producing sales reps sends the complete wrong message. Plus, we haven't used automation to eliminate paper forms and the call center wastes so much money. Automation costs a lot but if done corrctly, it would save a Sh-it Ton in the future.

@vn It makes $0 sense that there isn't a hiring freeze and those open positions almost all of them currently posted are non essential. Why are more sales reps being hired when 75% don't sell anything ! These group reps make $85K base plus $30K company subsidy for healthcare each year for 2 years and they might, just might if they are lucky, hit 25% of goal and bring in revenue of $10K !! At the end of the day, the company is shelling out $115K per head and these aHoles are only generating $10K in revenue ??????? This is exactly what is wrong with the firm and the RVP s&ExVP look away and scratch each othersbacks to protect their own positons & don't lead as most can't even sell this Pixel 10 I'm typing on. Totally BS !!!

@fp+ - You're absolutely right! There are 21 open vacancies being advertised for. How do you post 21 jobs in the midst of a layoff? First step is you freeze ALL hiring except essential positions. 2nd step: Get rid of the CHRO.

If there are more layoffs, who is going to do them? The two professional HRBPs are gone. The CHRO is going to have to come out of her office and look people in the eyes when she fires them. She better brush up on her gaslighting.

We could save over a $1,000,000 alone just by getting rid of the CHRO and Head of Comp. Why is the Head of Comp still there, and at that salary? Because the CHRO brought her in and likes her. But in the real world, that salary dump would happen first in most other companies.

@OP it makes no sense that the company is hiring for several open positions~Some of theze positions are not revenue generators or savers~Sales assistants. Makes 0 sense~If anyone is getting laid off, what is the firm doing to get people in those positions~Before layoffs, there should be a hiring freeze first.

Eliminate the high wage, non revenue generators, no revenue savers first.

As an example, the Field EX VPs can be replaced by a Field Sales Coordinator. Save $500k.

$705K per annum CHRO can be replaced by lower level VP at $175K per year. Same for Director of Comp. That role can be totally outsourced to a consultant for $50K per year or on as needed basis. No reason why we need that position.

@OP time to let go sales reps who don’t sell, service reps who don’t visit clients, members of IT Teams who just argue with one another, VPs, SVPs, and Ex VPs who don’t do a dam thing and are past their prime, and all Board Members.

Who did I miss ?
