Thread regarding MetLife Inc. layoffs

Next CEO?

Who will be the next CEO? If the board lets Khalaf stay until 65 or if they cut him, they need a successor, stat.

@1t4 As someone selected for their "involuntary retirement" in recent years during the current administration, I was one of many in my line who were all of the stereotypical race and s-x that DEI exists to suppress......

So no, the current administration does not preclude them from that.

Down-voters don't like discussion of MetLife running from its own policy? Why not? This is reality.

Makes you question how firmly management believed the policy in the first place since they seem to have chickened out.

@1t4 I agree, but it's just a disavowal of convenience. I guarantee if a Democrat president gets it, it will be "game on" again.

Someone should ask about the 2030 goals at the next shareholders meeting. That would be a laugh.

@1t0 Met disavowed DEI due to the current White House administration and government contracts. DEI no longer exists here. No more pace, no more podcasts. All references to DEI have been scrubbed from the website. All I can say is Thank God.

Meh. If you believe Metlife's 2030 DEI goals, and that document seems to be missing, now, LOL, it would be good odds that the next CEO would be female and minority.

"Continue to advance workforce diversity by consistently achieving top quartile positioning across each ethnically and racially diverse category in the U.S. and of female officers globally. Enhance transparency of the link between top quartile positioning and executive leadership performance."

Per https://diversityglobal.com/web/Article.aspx?id=Metlife-Commits-Over-2-5-Billion-to-DEI-Initiatives-by-2030-4452

Can anyone find the 2030 DEI doc on MetLife's public facing website?

In case Hollywood wants to reboot the Monk TV series, Khalaf would be an excellent fit for the part as if he was playing the son of Tony Shalhoub.

@t8 LOL. At least Khalaf didn't try to get his picture taken with Spain.

Or did he?

@c2 Good theory. They are overrunning large corpos in the US, why wouldn't the pattern hold? I am surprised we don't see one in the C suite already.
