@1sv you think all masters means anything here? Ive seen people with masters degrees not even understand the difference between a set and a list.

Can't write a unit test to save their life and not even understand mocking external dependencies.

These people are at the lead and senior engineer level.
So yeah masters means jack all

@1gz College Grad isn’t what it used to be. Half of my team carries a masters degree and are low level production members getting the same pay and opportunities as my employees that have no formal education. It’s the sad reality now days, granted my grad students will likely have more opportunity in the future, it didn’t have a huge role in getting them in the door.

Interesting. Here I am college grad trying to get in and repeatedly being denied even an interview. This forum, that I found by accident, certianly puts some light on what the holdup is.

I mean signals are here. Hiring freeze, some people leaving to another group by force, managers give no notice to wfo making peope quit, manager staying quiet for 2026 goals. Internal positions locked down probably until layoffs. MDs asking us to upskill.

What do you mean by extremely? ? Lately there have just been here and there headcounts. More details, please. Any of these extremely will be in Tempe? Are they letting them enjoy the Pinnacle Awards first, happening in Texas for Homelending?

Yeah, we've been ready... AI should have taken my job by now and all I hear is talk from the media and scared old heads, make it happen already. We need pay cuts, chop chop! Goldman/Citi/Wells/Bank of America aren't waiting for us. Hurry up already!
