Thread regarding Resideo Technologies layoffs

Is Melville really closing?

I overheard some people talking in a conference room last week but I don’t know if this is true or false

@2gd you can be sure that cd&r’s plan isn’t to just own 17% of each company post split. There has to be a longer play. More changes are sure to come. M&A and divestiture along with all the upheavals that come with those activities are possibilities.

@1vr PE CD&R already holds 28,750,250 shares of Resideo which represents approximately 17.2% of the company's common stock.

@1se if Melville remains open it will only be because of sale to PE firm.

Think about it, why do they need it. Majority of focus is on HVAC , Air, Water and retail life safety and cameras. Can't u load MN office do to high cost of mitigating the polution. Resideo is no longer serious about pro security.

@OP false.
They probably should close it but there are some facility improvements being planned which would make your rumor false.
